  LACKENBAUER , David W. - Passed away peacefully, at his residence, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, October 29, 2003. Beloved husband of Cheryl (nee Walsh); dear father of Scott and his wife Yvette of Kitchener and Derek of Waterloo. He will lovingly be remembered by his grandchildren, Kyle and Meagan. Brother of Paul Lackenbauer and his wife Paulette, Stephen Lackenbauer and his wife Wendy, Denise and her husband Roger Vogel, Janet and her husband Bruce Semple and Diane and her husband Cam Jackson.He was predeceased by his parents, Ethel (Croston) and Edgar Lackenbauer. Dave was a retired letter carrier with Canada Post. Dave and his son Derek owned and operated D & S Painting, which Derek will fondly continue. Along with his zest for life and friendships, his passions were Florida, fishing and his beautiful grandchildren.Friends and relatives are invited to share their memories of Dave with his family at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King Street South, Waterloo, on Saturday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A time to celebrate his life will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Sunday, November 2, 2003, at 1 p.m. Cremation has taken place.Following the service, everyone is invited to the Lancaster Hotel, 574 Lancaster Street West, Kitchener, for a time to share their memories of Dave.
