  SMITH, Carl W. On Monday, July 8, 1991, at K-W Hospital, after a brief illness, Carl W. Smith, aged 79 years. of 250 Glenridge Drive, Waterloo. He was born in Preston, Cambridge and was governor of the Waterloo County Jail for 29 years, retiring in 1974. A member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church. He was past Grand Master of the Grand Orange Lodge of Canada. Son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Smith. Husband of the former Doris Gellow. Predeceased by his first wife, Margaret Hall. Father of Susan and her husband John Chapman of Hamilton; grandfather of one grandson, Aaron; brother of Olive and her husband John Wilson of Guelph, Marguerite and her husband Gordon Bogle of Cambridge (P). Predeceased by one brother, Edward. Mr. Smith's family will receive friends at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S.. Waterloo, on Wednesday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral and committal services will be held Thursday, at 2: 30 p.m., at Covenant Chapel of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Kitchener, Rev.
