      In her 104th year, at her home in Ayr, with her family by her side, on August 11, 2002. Maria Alice was born September 30, 1898, in Falai Azores and joined her family in Cambridge, in 1962. She was predeceased by her husband, Antonio (1960) and daughters, Filomena Vargas (1993) and Salome Peixoto (2000); two brothers and two sisters. Beloved mother of Maria Elcides Pinheiro of Ayr, Manuel (Arminda) of Cambridge, Gabriela da Rosa (Guilherme) of Southampton, Ana da Silva (Jose) of Cambridge, Liduina de Vargas (Odilio) of Cambridge, Ludgero (Bonnie) of Brantford and Eunice Duarte (Mauricio) of Cambridge. Loving grandmother of 36, great-grandmother of 57 and great-great-grandmother of 10. Dear sister of Ana Silva of Cambridge. Also lovingly remembered by two sons-in-law, Francisco Vargas and Manuel Peixoto. Friends will be received at Coutts Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge, today (Tuesday), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, will be celebrated at St. Gregory's RC Church, on Wednesday, August 14, 2002, at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
