      Passed away peacefully, at Hilltop Manor, on August 6, 2017, at the age of 90. He is reunited in heaven with his beloved wife Trude (2010) she was the love of his life and he missed her dearly and was lost without her. Dearly loved father of Christa and her husband Murray Gignac who was like a son to Gus, and son-in-law Gerry Baker. Dearly loved grandfather of Jeff Gignac, Rick and Christi Gignac, Mike and Carol Gignac, Christine Baker, Ron and Michelle Baker, Karen Baker and Sandra Griffin who was like a granddaughter to Gus, she was kind and caring and always there to visit and help in any way she could with his care. He will be missed by his great-grandchildren Kaiden, Connor, Cody, Taylor, Andrew, Peyton, Erika, Thomas, Stephanie, Gerard, Andrea, Heather, Joshua and six great-great-grandchildren. He will also be missed by his longtime friend, Wanda Psenicka, whom he called his sister. Predeceased by his wife Trude, daughter Eva Baker, grandson Gerard Baker and his brother Karl and his wife Annie. Gus always had a big smile and was liked by all who met him, including the staff and residents of Hilltop Manor and the Mall Group. Thank you to Hilltop Manor for their care and kindness over the years. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge, where family and friends were received on Wednesday, August 9, 2017, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial, was celebrated at St. Gregory's Roman Catholic Church, 10 St. Gregory's Dr., Cambridge, on Thursday, August 10, 2017, at 10: 30 a.m. Interment followed at Mount View Cemetery.
