- Henry A. Ziegler
Another of Waterloo's highly esteemed citizens in the person of Mr. Henry A. Ziegler, 79 Queen St. north, passed away Sunday evening in his 71st year, following a week's illness of pneumonia. The funeral held yesterday afternoon was largely attended. Rev. C. S. Roberts conducted a brief service at the house and preached the sermon at the service held in the St. John's Lutheran church of which deceased was an active member for many years Internment was made at Mount Hope cemetery.
Born in Heidelberg, deceased came to Waterloo 36 years ago to reside. For 30 years has was a valued employee of the Roschman Button Company.
Predeceased by his wife 15 years ago, he is survived by two sons, Harvey and Gordon of Waterloo, also one brother, Louis of Brandon, three sisters, Mrs. W. Schaefer, Heidelberg, and Misses Kate and Rose Ziegler of Detroit and four grandchildren.
The funeral was held on Wednesday from the residence to St. John's Lutheran Church for service with interment at Mount Hope cemetery.
The pallbearers were Messrs. Herb. Schaus, F. D. Rueffer, Clayton Martin, Walter Witthuhn, Carl Zinkann and Fred Walz.
