    • JORDAN, Anthony Frank "Tony"

Our beloved husband, father, friend, went home peacefully, surrounded by family on December 2, 2017, at Fairview Mennonite home. Beloved husband of Mary (Charlton) Jordan for over 66 years. Dear father of Anna Thompson, Marie Adam (Gary), Anthony (Maureen), Robert and Gloria (Ed). Precious grandfather to Jamie, Jeff, Joseph, Rose Marie, Mariann, Patrick, Kyle, Ryan, Lucas, Elizabeth, Paul and Catherine and to ten special great-grandchildren. Tony was born in Poland, in 1925 and after his service in WWII, became passionate about world peace and spread this message of peace and hope to all he met. He came to Canada in 1962, with three children and settled in Cambridge (Preston). His working career as a welder/fitter concluded at McDonald steel in 1990. He spent many volunteer hours, with his wife in the church community and was an active world traveller, with the love of his life, Mary. Tony shared his wisdom with his children grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. His joyous spirit was grounded in his deep faith and love for the Lord. We will always remember him for his love of family, sense of adventure, mischievous spirit, love of music and dance and dedication to peace. The family would like to thank friends and staff at Fairview Mennonite home and the palliative care team of the WWLHIN, that contributed to his peaceful passing. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street N., Cambridge, on Wednesday, December 6, 2017, from 6 - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated from St. Clement's RC Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge, on Thursday, December 7, 2017, at 10 a.m. Interment will follow, at Parklawn Cemetery.
