Notes |
- FAICHNEY, Bette (nee Anderson)
Passed away peacefully, on November 29, 2017, surrounded by her family and their love in her 87th year, at Riverbend Place. Survived by her three daughters; Deb Mosey (Art), Sandy Grimwood, Vic Daub (Don). Proud grandmother to Steph (Rob), Lindsay (Ian), Doug (Rachel), Jeff (Laura), Steve (Nikki), Matt (Steph), Mike (Sarah), Chris and Ashleigh. She will be lovingly remembered by her twenty great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Don (1975), her parents, Bill and Jean Anderson and her brother, Don. Bette married Don in 1950, who had joined the USAF and travelled the world for 20 years with him having three daughters, in various states and living in Europe. Bette was a true trailblazer as Executive Director of the Cambridge Chamber of Commerce, for 25 years, first female member of the Kiwanis Club of Cambridge, who went on to be the first female president, winning many awards, in both the CCC and Kiwanis. Bette was very involved in her community, her church and always devoted to her family. Our family would like to thank the staff at Riverbend Place, for their kind attention to our Mom over the years, she lived there and especially in the last year of her illness. The care and compassion shown to Mom by every staff member, was truly exceptional and they are a retirement home of true angels. Family and friends will be received at the T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 223 Main Street for Visitation on Friday, December 1st from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the Westside Presbyterian Church, 130 Victoria Avenue (Cambridge), on Saturday, December 2nd at 11 a.m. Interment to follow, at Mount View Cemetery.
