  John Ritchie GALT, John Ritchie, 88, of 14 Grand Ave. South, Galt, died today at his home after an illness of several months. He was born in Huron County and had resided in Galt for more than 50 years, where he operated a retail grocery store. Mr. Ritchie was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church and a member of the church session. He was a member of Waterloo lodge, IOOF. His wife, the former Margaret Gramm, died in 1948. Surviving are two sons, William James and John Gordon, both of Galt; two sisters, Mrs. Jean McIntosh of Listowel. and Mrs. Charles (Mary) Brodie of Exeter and seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. The body is at the Little Funeral Home, 39 Grand. Ave. North, Galt, where funeral service will be held, Thursday, at 2:p.m. Interment will be in Mount View Cemetery, Galt.
