Of 1130 King St. E., Cambridge (Preston), on March 30, 1977, at the South Waterloo Memorial Hospital, in his 72nd year. Hugh Spencer, beloved husband of Dorothy Ableson; dear father of Hugh of Cambridge, James of Waterloo, Shirley (Mrs. Ronald Muir) of Seattle, Wash. Survived by several brothers and sisters and six grandchildren. Mr. Spencer was born in Surrey, England and lived in the Cambridge area, most of his life. He was a veteran of the Second World War; a member of the Preston Branch 126, Royal Canadian Legion. He has been employed as a welder at Jamesway Co. Limited of Cambridge. Resting at the Barthel-Stager Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Rd., Cambridge (Preston), for funeral and committal services, Friday, April 1, at 11 a.m. Interment Park Lawn cemetery.
