Notes - FRASER, John Kenneth Passed away peacefully on September 15, 2018 at Freeport Hospital at the age of 95. Loving father to Gerry (Cheryl Elliot-Fraser) and Diane (Frank Schwier). Cherished grandad to Cassandra, Jonathan, Samantha (Kirk) and Justine. Predeceased by his wife Luella (Katchuck); brothers and sisters, Archie, Melissa (Laurie), Ross, Ray, Don and Reta (Herriot). John grew up near Sheffield and was a lifelong member of the Sheffield United Church. John was a veteran of WWII serving first with the H.L.I. and then with the Perth regiment in Italy. He was a member of the Galt Legion Branch 121 for over 70 years. John had a trucking business until he retired. After retiring John continued to farm and lived there until his passing. He enjoyed travelling and spending time with friends and family. A memorial service will be held at Sheffield United Church on Sunday, September 23 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at the church. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Sheffield United Church, 1283 Old Hwy 8, Sheffield, ON L0R 1Z0.
