    • In Loving Memory Died at Waterloo, Monday, August 23rd, 1909. Mary Ann Fry beloved wife of David Bean. The Funeral will take place from the residence, George Street, on Thursday Afternoon, August 26th at 2.30 o'clock to Mount Hope Cemetery for interment. Friends and acquaintances will please accept this intimation.

      DEATH OF MRS. DAVID BEAN

      Wife of the Publisher of the Chronicle-Telegraph Passes Away.

      The death took place at the family residence, George St., Waterloo, on Monday, Aug. 33rd, of Mary Ann Fry, beloved wife of David Bean, publisher of the Chronicle-Telegraph. After a lingering illness, endured with patience, Christian fortitude and resignation, and surrounded by all the members of her family, she peacefully fell asleep at hall past five o'clock in the afternoon.

      The funeral will take place from the residence Thursday at 2.30 p. m. to Mount Hope cemetery.

      Deceased, who was a daughter of the late Christian Fry, was born in Waterloo township not far from the town of Berlin, removing at an early age to Blenheim with her parents, where her father afterwards became extensively engaged in the sawmilling and lumbering business. She was married in 1869 to David Bean, son of the late John Bean, one of the early pioneers of Wilmot township, who was then teaching school at No. 13 Blenheim. Later she removed to Baden, Washington and Elmira, where her husband taught school for three and a half, two and a half twelve and respectively purchase of and half years

      In 1889, upon the the Chronicle by her husband, she removed to Waterloo where she has since resided. Deceased was a faithful and consistent member of the Waterloo Methodist church, as also of the Ladies' Aid and the Women's Missionary Society.

      She was a loving and devoted wife and kind and affectionate mother, of a cheerful and most unselfish disposition she was always ready, at the sacrificet her own comfort and convenience, to do a kind act for a neighbor or friend. The marriage union was blessed with seven children. one of whom died in infancy. Besides the bereaved husband, those who survive are Anna R. and Emma L., at home, Blanche B. (Mrs. D. B. Musselman, of Lochwood, Sask., D. Alex., Mgr. Daily Telegraph, Berlin, and Roy S. and Clive S. of the Chronicle-Telegraph, Waterloo. One sister, Mrs. John Richl, Lisbon, Ont., and two brothers, C. C. Fry, Bright, Ont, and M. C. Fry, Kurtzville, Ont. also survive.
