  GILCHRIST, WILLIAM At the Guelph General Hospital, on Friday, March 5, 1943, of 15 Ainslie St. S., Galt, in his 76th year. The funeral took place at the First United Church in Galt on Mon., Mar. 8 at 2: 30. Rev. T. T. Faichney officiated at the largely attended service. Pallbearers: A. B. Scott, Alex Gibb, Marshall Aver, Dr. James Gillies, Andrew D. Taylor and Neil McPherson. Interment Mount View Cemetery. T. Little and Son Ltd. Funeral Home. A resident of Galt for more than forty years. He was on office staff of Victoria Wheel Works for many years and later, P. W. Gardiner and Son Ltd. He had been retired fifteen years. A faithful member of First United Church, he was an elder and teacher of the Fidelis class for thirty-five years. He worked hard for the building of the new Sunday School. Of a quiet and kindly nature, he had many friends in the city. Unmarried, he is survived by a sister, Mrs. A. Robertson; a niece, Mrs. W. E. Galbraith; a nephew, T. W. Robertson of Ottawa; and four nephews in Michigan.
