- Mr. Thomas Oliver's Death.
Mr. Thomas Oliver, who has been suffering for some time with a cancer and had it removed at the hospital a short time ago, passed away at his home, on Bond street, on Monday morning, at 9: 30 o'clock. Deceased was a native of Roxboroughshire, Scotland, was born in 1817 and came to Canada in 1845, settling for a short time in Flamborough township, after which he lived in Dundas for a time and then moving to the township of North Dumfries, where he lived for a couple of years. In 1855 he bought a farm in Normandy Township, Grey County, where he resided until 1885, when he moved to Galt. He was a single man and has lived with his sister, Mrs. Oliver, who survives him, along with another sister, Mrs. Margaret Hislop of Normandy, township and two brothers, George in Manitoba and John in Clyde. The interment took place in, Mount View Cemetery, on Monday morning and was followed by a large number of friends and relatives.
