On Wednesday, Oct. 4, 1972, at his residence, 247 Franklin Ave. North, Joseph W, Ruddell, age 96 years, retired barber since 1958, predeceased by his first wife, Sadie Haynes and predeceased by his second wife, Beatrice Payson; father of Thomas; Mrs. Edgar (Catherine) Girodat, Waterloo and Mrs. Arthur (Jessie) Plantz, Kitchener, brother of Miss Velma Ruddeli of Galt; also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren; predeceased by five brothers and five sisters. Resting at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King, St. South, Waterloo, for services, Friday, at 2 p.m., in the chapel, Rev. R. R. Conner of First United Church, Waterloo, officiating.
