- LEIDY, Charles Orlen "Chuck" Peacefully, surrounded by his family, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Sunday, October 12, 2014, in his 88th year. Beloved husband of the late Nellie Leidy (2009). Dear father of Terry Leidy (Dianne), Susan Elmes (Gary), Paul Leidy (Kathy), Shelly Hewer (Roger), Laurie Gogas Leidy, Wendy Jepma (Doug) and Jeff Leidy (Cindy). Loving grandfather of Christopher, Rebecca, the late Brian, Brad, Sarah, Mark, Katie, Ashley, Amanda, Matthew, Karley, Cody, Kyle, Erica, Lindsay as well as his great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his son Marshall Leidy (1997), his parents Charles and Amilia Leidy, his brother Lloyd and sisters Arita and Audrey. Chuck was a longtime manager in the insurance industry, also past president of the Royal Canadian Legion, St. George Branch 605 and a current member of the Preston Branch 126. In their later years, he and Nellie enjoyed their travels to Florida. Chuck cherished time with his family and had a large circle of friends; he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge where the family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, October 16, 2014 at 11 a.m. A private family interment will follow at Mount View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. The family wishes to express a special thank you to the staff of the third floor, critical care unit of the Cambridge Memorial Hospital.
