    • John Eshleman, "was born April 17th, 1783, and came to Canada in 1808 and settled at Blair where he had his home with his brother, Samuel, for many years. When he was pretty well advanced in years he was married to Widow Schmidt who was born April 29th, 1781, and died August 29th, 1858. They resided two miles north of Waterloo, on the farm now owned by Franklin Shuh. He died March 28th, 1861, leaving no heirs."
