(1) I desire my hereinafter named Executors in due time and times to collecty, receive, demand and me[sic] for my outstanding debts, dues, notes and bonds, and also to pay and discharge in due times all the debts due and owing by me.
(2) My farm, consisting of the north half of Lot Number forty eight of the German Company Tract of the said Township of Waterloo, is to be carried on by my family unitedly as hitherto until it shall have been fully paid and freed from the incumberance resting thereon in favor of Christian Fray. (3) My son Adam is to give and pay out of the said farm to my beloved widow Margareth annually her regular widow third and allow her and the younger children in the free indwelling in our present dwelling house, but in case that circumstances arise which cause her to desire a dwelling place apart for herself, my said son Adam Zimmer is to build one for her on this place, in a suitable situation and in suitable dimensions on his own sole expenses and costs, and which she shall and may inhabit as long as she shall and doth remain my widow, but ceasing to be such, she shall have no further claim therein and in case she intermarries again, her widow third shall be computed and such computed sum be paid over to her by my said son Adam Zimmer, and she thus pay off all her further claims in and against my estate.
(4) On my son Dadam Zimmer taking the farm as aforesaid, my beloved widow Margareth is to have and take as and for her own property for ever all and singular the house and kitchen furniture which she wants and doth desire to have, also two beds, bedding and bedsteads for herself and the younger children, also one cow, with the free run and pasturage and stabling on the place, along with the cattle of my son Adam. And my said son Adam is to have for his own property free out of my erstate, one span horses, one cow, one plough, one harrow, one wagon, one double horse harness, and one good fanning mill, and my half share in the threshing machine which I conjointly hold with Eli Clemens. And my son Jacob shall have and take out of my estate as his own property one horse and harness, one cow, one wagon, one plough and the old fanning mill. All the remainder of my chattels and goods is to be sold and the proceeds be laid up for my younger two children, and in case of need to be paid for and to them as occasions shall and may arise, and the balance thereof, each, his or her own share, be paid over to them when they do come on age, my daughter Louise Zimmer, when an age of twenty years, and my son Daniel Zimmer twenty one years old. My said son Adam Zimmer is further to pay out of the said place the sum of nine hundred dollars to my said two younger children, when they shall come on age…the first share to my daughter she being now about sixteen years old, and my said son Daniel being now about ten years old, is to receive his share after his said sister, but each of them shall receive her and his first installment of her or of his on their respective day of maturity, and from hence in yearly instalments, until the whole be paid, but without interedst until due, but in case either of them, or both, do die and depart life without leaving legal bodily issue, before she, or he, shall have received her or his respective share, in part of in full, then such unpaid portion and portions thereof shall fall back upon my estate, to be divided in equal shares amongst my surviving heirs, but the portion or portions which they, she or he actually had received, they may dispose of after their own mind and will, even if leaving no bodily issue and this shall be their respective portions out of my place.
(5) My said son Jacob Zimmer shall have as his own property for ever free out of my land and estate all the parcels of land and premises which belong to this said lot number forty eight, - first, that which were formerly occupied by Franz Kraft and his wife, containing five acres, situate on the north side of the road leading to the Township line of Waterloo and Wilmot, with house and stable thereon. Secondly that field of eight or nine acres on the south side of the said road, adjoining Eli Clemens, as it is fenced in, and thirdly that piece of cedar land or swamp, adjoining Jacob Clemens land, containing about three acres, and which is butted and bounded - described as follows, viz: Commence at Jacob Clemens' land, thence along the south side of the said road eastward as far as one rod (or twenty five links) beyond the spring going amongst as by the name of "Krafts' Spring" thence backwards from the road to the fence bordering this cedar swamp, thence along this fence to the land and fence of Jacob Clemens aforesaid, and then this fence along to the beginning and of which lands he is to give and pay annually to my said Widow the sum of five shillings in place and lieu of her widow dower…My said daughter Louise shall after my demise go and try to earn her bread herself, but all her wages she shall and may keep and use herself.
