  • Notes 
    • Mr. Joseph Weiler, a farmer living near New Germany, committed suicide by hanging himself on Sunday forenoon. He had been at the insane asylum about six months but had been brought home some time ago having seemingly recovered. Lately, however, he had shown signs of the old trouble coming on again and the family kept a pretty close watch of him generally. But he found an opportunity to carry out his purpose when his son left him for a short time to do some chores. While in his sound mind Mr. Weiler was a kind father and an obliging neighbor. He had reached the age of about 68 years.
