  Mrs. Catherine Steffler, widow of the late George Steffler, and a highly respected resident of Elmira who had been living with her daughter, Mrs. John R. Boetinger at Bridgeport for the past five months, passed away at the latter's home early on Monday morning last. Mrs. Steffler, who was in her 81st year, had up to a few months ago, when she became seriously ill, been a life-long resident of Elmira, residing on William Street. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. John Boettinger, Bridgeport, and Mrs. C. Williams, Kitchener, and four sons, Edward, Albert, Charles and Herbert, all of Spruce Grove, Alta. Four daughters and two sons as well as her husband predeceased here. The remains were brought to Elmira and have been resting at the Dreisinger Funeral Chapel, until the arrival of two sons from Spruce Grove, Alberta. The remains will then be removed to the late home, 21 William Street. The funeral will take place on Friday afternoon at two o'clock to St James' Lutheran church for service. Interment will take place in St. James' Cemetery and the services will be conducted by Rev. L. H. Kalbfleisch. Elmira Signet 24 Sep 1936
