Alex Rankine formerly of Cambridge, beloved husband of the late Gertrude Rankine (nee Elliott), dear father of Alexandra (Sandy) and her husband Bill Gamble of Kitchener, Mary and her husbanbd James Strand of Prince Rupert, B.C. and Mureen Rankine of Kitchener. Loving grandfather of Jennifer and her husband David Poole, Stephanie and her husband Richard Zamperoni, Sara and her husband John Fontaine, David Strand and great-grandfather of Justin and Meagan Fontaine and Alexandra Poole. He is survived by one brother, Robert and one sister, Margaret, he is predeceased by two brothers and two sisters. Friends will be received at COUTTS AND SON FUNERAL HOME, 96 St. Andrews Street, Cambridge, on Sunday, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The Funeral and Committal Service will be conducted in the Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, August 8, 1994, at 1:30 p.m. Dr. Grant MacDonald officiating. A Reception will follow in Coutts Family Reception Cottage. Interment, Mount View Cemetery.
