  DIAS, Adelina It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear Mother, Adelina Cabral Dias, on July 2, 2018. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Manuel Jacinto Dias in August 1981. She was born in Santa Maria on October 10, 1921. The Dias family was one of the first few families to immigrate in 1960 to Galt. Buying and renovating their house on Main St., they welcomed more Azorian families into their home, providing shelter, food and care, until they too were established into the community. Adelina was tireless, nurturing, loyal and had a wicked sense of humour. Loving mother to Maria Ines Dias, John Dias (Gwen), Carl Dias, Fatima Moore (Jim); grandmother to Jeff Fontes (Lisa Thomas), Julie Bailey (Dan), Andrea Dias, Ashley Resendes (Derek), Melissa Jesso (Brian), Stephanie Johnson (Adam Benoit); great-grandmother to Ryan Fontes, Cristian Fontes, Kinsey Fontes, Luke Bailey, Jaxon Dias and Avery Resendes. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, from 4-8 p.m., at T. LITTLE FUNERAL HOME, 223 Main St. Cambridge. Mass of Christian Burial, will be held Friday, July 6, at 11 a.m., at St. Ambrose Church, 210 South St., Cambridge. Burial to follow at Mount View Cemetery. Cambridge Times 5 Jul 2018
