  ALIES, Elizabeth (nee Sturm) At Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, on October 28, 2003, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Andrew Alies (1974). Loving mother of Irma Matyas of Kitchener, Erna Grohmann (Fred) of Dundas and Ewald Alies (Mary) of Fergus. Caring grandmother of Cynthia Matyas and Jeffrey Matyas, both of Cambridge, Corrina Grohmann Rombes (George) of Hamilton, Richard Grohmann (Janice) of Vancouver, Michael Alies of Conn and Steven Alies of Ottawa. Elizabeth was the great-grandmother of Dylan Alexander Rombes. She is predeceased by her parents, Johann and Anna Sturm (nee Preikschat). Loving sister of Anna Bendick of Germany, Peter Sturm of Germany, Leni Weisshaar of Toronto and Mary Andriulaitis of Newmarket. Elizabeth is predeceased by her son-in-law, George Matyas (1997). Friends will be received today (Wednesday), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Little's Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 223 Main St., Cambridge.
