    • MORRIS, John (Jack)

      At Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Wednesday, October 30th, 1991, suddenly, as a result of a heart attack, John Morris of 9 Vimy Street, Cambridge, aged 84 years. Mr. Morris was born in Callendar, Sterlingshire, Scotland (near Stirling) on April 21, 1907 and came to Galt, with his family, 7 years of age. He was employed for 37 years with the Canadian Pacific Railway and retired in 1975. In his younger days he was an avid sportsman and athlete. He served with the R.C.A.F. Squadron 4415, overseas, from 1939 to 1945. Jack was a member of the Bay of Quinte Beagle Club, the Royal Canadian Legion, Galt Branch #121 and a life-member of the Masonic Order, Bannock Burn and Thistle Lodge, Scotland. Mr. Morris is survived by his wife Joyce, children, Linda Short, Robert and Brian Morris, sister Christina (Thomas) Whitla and grandchildren; Ian and Lisa Short. He was predeceased by his parents, James and Christina Morris, brother Robert (Bert) and sister, Effie (Thomas) Collins. Friends will be received at LITTLE'S FUNERAL HOME, 223 Main Street East, Cambridge, on Friday, 7-9 p.m. Funeral and Committal Service will be in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, November 2nd, 1991, at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Bob Fretwell officiating. Interment, Mount View Cemetery.
