    • ETHERTON, John Edward (Jack)

      At Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Friday, February 19th, 1988, in his 64th year. Jack Etherton a long time resident of Galt, dear son of Margaret Etherton, dear brother of Mary (Mrs. Alvin Miller), Joyce Milligan and Marguerite Eichler all of Cambridge. Sadly missed by 3 nieces, 1 nephew and several great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his father, Bert Etherton. Jack was a well known radio announcer on CFTJ for 19 years, retiring 10 years ago. He was a member of the Galt Little Theatre for 45 years and worked in every capacity from stage to box office. Jack was active on the Bernice Adams Award Memorial Fund and was the MC on many occasions. He was a driver for the Canadian Cancer Society and other agencies. He worked with the Internation Festival Committee for many years. He served in the RCAF in WW II, he was recently employed as a part time bartender at Dickson Bowl. Friends will be received at Littles Funeral home, 223 Main Street East, on Sunday, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service and committal service will be held in Littles Chapel, on Monday, at 2 p.m. Interment will take place in Mount View Cemetery.
