  JOHN ROBERT OLIVER John Robert Oliver, of 80 Brentwood Rd., S., Toronto, died Friday, at South Waterloo Memorial Hospital. Born in Galt, on April 5, 1924, he was 52. He lived in Sudbury and moved to Toronto, 12 years ago. He was an associate engineer with Bell Telephone and worked for the company for 35 years. He was a member of St. Andrews Islington Presbyterian Church and the Bell Telephone Pioneers. He was a veteran of the Royal Canadian Navy, serving four years during World War II. Surviving are his wife, the former Isabel Taylor, daughter Mary and son Charles, all at home, his mother, Marjorie (Oliver) Humphrey of St. George and one sister, Isobel (Mrs. Gordon Lorimer) of Montreal. Friends will be received at Coutts and Son Funeral Home, 96 St. Andrews St., Cambridge, Sunday, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Services from the funeral home chapel, Monday at noon.
