      At the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Thursday, September 17th, 1992, in his 71st year. William Blackmore of Cambridge-Galt, beloved husband of Ann Blackmore (nee Rose). Loving father of Marina Chownyk and her husband Jim Blackmore, Lloyd Blackmore and Renee and her husband Herb, all of Cambridge, Fred Blackmore and his wife Arlene of Calgary and Sharon Einwechterand her husband Peter of Battersea. Loved grandfather of Jimmy and Michael Chownyk, Lloyd and Lisa Blackmore, Darren Blackmore and Peter and Jake Einwechter. Dear brother of Arthur and his wife Edna, Walter and his wife Beulah and Ray and his wife Cecilia, all of Cambridge, Evelyn Rideout and Una and her husband Harold Kitchen, both of St. John's Newfoundland. Mr. William Blackmore was born August 9th, 1922 at Pilley's Island, Newfoundland and is the son of the late Herbert and Laura Blackmore, also predeceased by sisters; Stella Badcock and Daphne Carter and brothers; Rodger and Albert. Mr. William Blackmore moved to Cambridge from Bell Island, Newfoundland, in 1966 and was employed with the Canadian General Tower, until his retirement in 1986. He was an Honorary Life Member of the Galt Newfoundland Club and served with the Royal Navy during World War II and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion #1126 Preston Branch. Friends will be received at Little's Funeral Home, 223 Main Street East, Cambridge, Friday (today), from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted in the Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, at 11:00 a.m. Mr. Blackmore's nephew, Major Harold Rideout of Niagara Falls will officiate. Interment, Mount View Cemetery.
