Of Lauris Avenue, Cambridge, at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital, on Tuesday, July 12, 1994, in his 63rd year. Beloved husband of Marlene (Brooks) Brethauer and dear father of Richard and wife lneke of Guelph, David of Toronto and Karen Stephens and her husband Bob of Cambridge. Also surviving are his brothers; Gordon and his wife Jean, Ernie and his wife Sandra and Ross Brethauer all of Cambridge and his sisters; Ethel (Mrs. Charles Studiman) of Cambridge, Dorothy (Mrs. Robert Melchin) of Kitchener and Marion (Mrs. Clinton Arms) of Brantford and by four grandchildren, Carolyn, Lynda, Christopher and Jamie and his mother-in-law, Vera (Mrs. W. Brooks) of Cambridge. Predeceased by a sister, Ruth (Mrs. Bill Gingrich). Wilfred Brethauer was a life long resident of Cambridge, the retired owner of the Water Street Bowl and had been a volunteer with the Cambridge Association for the Mentally Handicapped and had coached with the Minor Hockey and Minor Baseball Associations. Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Thursday, from 7 - 9 p.m. and Friday, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel, on Saturday, July 16, 1994, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Bill Gallagher officiating. Interment, Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
