Douglas Gurney McCormIck, the late, Lieut. Robert James McCormick, a brother F. M. McCormick, Friends will be received at Little Funeral Home, 39 Grand Avenue N. Funeral service on Thursday, October 6th., at 3 p.m. Entombment, Mount View Mausoleum. Galt Reporter 1960 _________________ October 4. George Harding McCormick, 87, a descendant of early settlers from Scotland was born near Burford, Ontario. He had five hardware stores in New York State before he moved to Galt in 1924 to be actively interested with his brothers in the Riverside Silk Co. Continuing his interest in church and community life, Mr. McCormick was an elder and Sunday-school superintendent at Central Presbyterian Church.
