Beloved husband of Virginia (Fernandes) and loving father of Maria Sousa and her husband Antonio of Branchton, Nelly Chaves and her husband Antonio of Cambridge, Jim Monteiro and his wife Margaret of Ayr and Tina Contente and her husband Paul of Cambridge. Dear brother of Helen Rego and her husband Jose and Joe Monteiro, all of Cambridge. Dear grandfather of Russ, Connie and Suzy Sousa, Andy Chaves, Darryl and Melanie Monteiro and Tiffany and Corey Contente. Mr. Monteiro was predeceased by his sister, Maria Monteiro and by his parents Jose and Maria Monteiro. Resting at the Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Sunday, from 7 - 9 p.m. and Monday and Tuesday, from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held on Wednesday, November 16, 1994, at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Fatima R.C.
