May 15, 1926 - November 24, 2018. Our amazing mother and role model, passed away in comfort and at peace at Copper Terrace Long Term Care facility, Chatham, on Saturday, November 24, 2018, at the age of 92. Beloved wife of Nicholas and mother of her loyal son Len, who both welcomed her into heaven with open arms. Loving and selfless mother of Diane Simon and her husband Jim, Janet McKenzie and her husband Jeff and daughter- in-law, Jennifer Yust. Proud grandmother of Andrea Forster (Andrew), Theresa Yust, Ryan Simon (Katie) and Jason Simon (Melinda), Maggie McKenzie and Holly McKenzie. Great-grandmother of Fiona, William, Madeline, Emma, Morgan and Vivianne. Predeceased by her parents, Emilè and Aurea (Pepin) Giroux of Angliers, Quebec. Dear sister of Willie and Georgette and twelve predeceased siblings. Raised in Angliers, Quebec, Marguerite moved to Preston, Ontario when she was sixteen to live with her sisters and where she met, Nick Yust and enjoyed sixty-five years of marriage. Marguerite was a long-time member of St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, Cambridge, devoted wife of an outdoorsman, home-chef extraordinaire, talented seamstress and an avid card and bingo player. Sunday dinner celebrations were always a cherished family favourite as her family meant the world to our mother. The family will receive friends at the Barthel Funeral Home, 566 Queenston Road, Cambridge, on Thursday, November 29th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Prayers at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Clement's Roman Catholic Church, 745 Duke Street, Cambridge on Friday, November 30th at 11:00 a.m., with a reception in the Church Hall following the burial at Parklawn Cemetery, Cambridge.
