  WELFING, Anke (nee Bergsma) Passed away peacefully, at Stirling Heights Long Term Care Facility, Cambridge, on July 22, 2014, in her 85th year. Born on June 22, 1930 in Nijkerk, Holland. She immigrated to Canada in 1954, where she met her husband Jan F. Welfing. Dear mother of John Welfing (Nicole Daigle), Hilda Moe (Jim) and Alice Rodreque. Cherished grandmother of eight grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Ike VanManen of Cambridge; Anders Bergsma (Florence) of British Columbia; Hilde Nieuwenhuys, Nell Veldman, Greetje Kuiper (Hank), Onno Bergsma (Loeky), Guus Abma (Jens) all of Holland, as well as sister- in-law of Willy Welfing and Teddy Maasland, also of Holland. Anke was predeceased by her husband Jan F. Welfing, her parents, Anders and Hiltje Bergsma, her sister Wyjpkje Toering, her mother-in-law, Aaltien Welfing, one great-grandchild, nine brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St. N., Cambridge, where the family will receive friends on Thursday, July 24, 2014, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 94 Elgin St. S., Cambridge, on Friday, July 25, 2014, at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at Mount View Cemetery, Cambridge.
