- MRS. CHRISTIAN BRUNK 1977 Mrs. Christian Brunk, 92, of RR1 Brunner, died Thursday at the Milverton nursing home. She was the former Fannie Kropf, born in Poole Jan. 24, 1884, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David Kropf. She was a member of the Poole Mennonite Church. Surviving: a son, Ivan, of RR1 Brunner; a daughter, Mrs. Nelson (Laura) Bach, of Brunner; a sister, Mrs. George (Leah) Poole, of RR1 Milverton; three grandchildren; four great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. Christian R. Brunk Jan. 8, 1972 and by five brothers and four sisters. The body rested at the Futher Brothers funeral home in Wellesley until noon Sunday when removal was made to Poole Mennonite Church for a 2 p.m. service. Rev. Amsey Martin officiated. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

On Saturday, Jan. 8, at the Stratford General Hospital, of Route 1, Brunner, age 88; dear husband of Fannie Kropf; father of Ivan of Route 1, Brunner; Laura (Mrs. Nelson) Bach of Brunner; brother of Amos of Poole; also survived by three grandchildren, two great grandchildren. Predeceased by five brothers and four sisters. Rev. Brunk was an ordained deacon of the Poole Mennonite Church, served the church for over 48 years; also former secretary of the Church Conference and former Sunday School superintendent. Farmed in Ellis Township, retiring in 1955. Friends may call at the Futher Bros. Funeral Home, Wellesley, until noon on Tuesday, when removal will be made to the Poole Mennonite Church for funeral service at 2: 30. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Amsey Martin will officiate. Expressions of sympathy may be shown by contributions to the church building fund.
