  GOUDY, ALEXANDER Native of Puslinch Passes Away at Galt Ex- Alderman Alex. Goudy Succumbs Following Operation Word has been received here (Guelph) of the death on Tuesday, December 3, 1929, of ex-Alderman Alex. Goudy of Galt, following an operation for an internal injury received while moving a casting at his work at Cowan and Co. Foundry last Friday. When he and another employee were prying a 500 lb. casting off a planer upon a truck, a stake he was using flew back and hit him in the stomach. Doctors found that peritonitis and bronchial pneumonia had developed. He was 68 years of age and while born in Puslinch, had spent practically all his life in Galt, serving as alderman for eight years. Besides his widow, two daughters, Mary and Florence, survive. Also surviving are five brothers and a sister, John of Detroit; Robert of Belleville; Henry of Toronto; Peter and Edward of Galt; and Mrs. William Mullin of Galt. The funeral took place Thursday. -Information from the death certificate: Born in Puslinch on January 4, 1862, son of Robert Goudy and Mary McKenzie. Death due to a ruptured bowel. Informant - his brother, Peter Goudy of 23 Hopeton St. in Galt. -Husband of Christina Tenant Minto, daughter of Robert and Mary Minto of Ayr. A son, Robert was killed in action at Cambria during World War I.
