    • EVANS, JOHN

      The funeral of Mr. Evans, of 28 Ball Ave. in Galt, was held on Saturday afternoon, Feb. 20, 1944. The service was conducted by Rev. Dr. M. B. Davidson. Interment was made in Mount View Cemetery. Mr. Evans died on Thursday morning, February 17, 1944, at Galt, in his 72nd year. A well-known architect in this district, he had resided in Galt for the last thirty-eight years. He received his early education at No. 10 School in Puslinch. Forty-seven years ago, he was married in Duff's Church by Rev. William Robertson to Mary H. "Minnie" Nunn and lived in Acton for a while, before going to Galt. Surviving besides his wife are two sisters, Anne (Mrs. W. Waller) of Acton; Miss Eva Dunn(???) of Kitchener; two brothers, Edwin and Sidney, both of Kitchener. Pallbearers: I. K. Martin, Captain George Dando, W. N. Hancock, Herb Willard, Harry Groces and J. E. O'Grady.
