Notes - SNYDER, Merle Norman - Of Waterloo, died peacefully, at his home, with love all around him, on Saturday, Sept. 27, 2003, in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Barbara (McAleney) Snyder. Dear father of Jeff and his wife Cheryl, Andrew and his wife Heather, Patricia Blower, Shelley Stuebing and her husband Glen, Joanne Forrest and her husband Richard; step-father of Leo McAleney and Lynn Goleff, James McAleney and his wife Corinne and Heather Osier and her husband Mike. Also survived by his grandchildren, Mindy, Darcy, Yvonne, Colin, Mark, Eric, Stephen, Andrew, Matthew, Tyler, Samantha, Keegan, Colton, Kyra; his brother, Paul Snyder and his wife Sharron and his sister, Arlene Snyder. Mr. Snyder was a member of Good Samaritan Church in Breslau. The family will receive friends at David MacLeod Funeral Home, (formerly A Family Funeral Home), 617 King St., N. on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2003 at 11 a.m. Pastor Ralph Rutledge officiating. Interment Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
