- M. H. HUEHNERGARD DIED IN HAMILTON
REMAINS WERE BROUGHT TO ELMIRA
The death of Manassah H. Huehnergard, a former resident of Elmira, occurred at Hamilton on Sunday morning.
For months the deceased had not been in the best of health and he was forced to give up his position. He went to Kitchener and spent a few weeks with his father- in-law and then went to Hamilton, where he spent the last few weeks with his brother, Rev. E. Huenergard. In spite of the best of medical care and attention, he passed peacefully away Sunday morning. Deceased was a son of the late George Huenergard and was born in Elmira 39 years ago.
For a number of years he was employed with the firm of M. Weichel & Son, here and in Waterloo and made a host of friends. Some years ago he accepted a position with the F. Kresge Company of Detroit who conducted a chain of stores throughout the United States. His position took him over considerable territory, he opening up branches and conducting them successfully. He visited friends in Elmira last summer.
In 1911 he was married to Amelia Moyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Adam Moyer, Kitchener. Of this union one son, George, was born, who with the sorrowing widow is left to moura the loss of a kind and loving husband and father. The deceased's mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Huenergard, of Elmira, and sister, Mrs. Arthur Klinck, of Elmira, and one brother. Rev. Eph. Huenergard of Hamilton also survive.
Arrangements. were made to have the remains taken from Hamilton to Elmira, where the funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence of his sister Mirs. Klinck. Services were held in James Church at 3 o'clock.
