    • Death of Mrs. D. B. Sherk
Wife of Rev. Mr. Sherk Passed Away Saturday
Funeral Took Place This Afternoon to the Alma Street U. B. Church

The funeral of the late Sarah Hershey, the beloved wife of Rev. D. B. Sherk, who passed away on Saturday afternoon at the residence on Peter street, took place this afternoon to the Alma street church, where impressive services were held and were in charge of the pastor, Rev. A. R. Springer and Rev. J. B. Bowman. The interment took place at the Mount Hope cemetery. A large number of friends and acquaintances were in attendance at the burial obsequies.

The deceased was in her 69th year and had been in poor health for some time, but her condition was not considered serious until about ten days ago, when she was stricken with apoplexy, which hastened her death. The deceased was an estimable woman and was highly esteemed and respected by a large circle of friends. When her bereaved husband was in the active ministry she was exceedingly useful and active in Christian work in the various circuits of which her husband had charge. The deceased is survived by three children, one son and two daughters, Dr. F. H. Sherk, of Campbellford; Mrs. George Aldred, of Toronto; and Mrs. W. H. Becker, of this town.
The bereaved family will have the heartfelt sympathy of the community in the loss they have sustained, in which the Telegraph joins
