      On Sunday, February 14, 2010, in her 83rd year at Cambridge, Ontario. Wife of the late Douglas Todd, loving mother of daughters; Barbara Todd and her husband Michael Century of Troy, New York, Joanna and her husband Frank Dunton of London, Ontario and son James Milne and his partner Heike Reher of Victoria, B.C. Loving Grandmother of Louis and Adam Century and James and Douglas Dunton. Daughter of the late James Shaw and Hilda Shaw. Predeceased by her two sisters Madelaine Chochrane and Doris Anderson, The first in her family to attend university, Betty received her Bachelor of Commerce from Queens University in 1949. She had remarkable business acumen which, following her brief career with Canada Packers, she brought to her volunteer work in organizations including the VON, The Red Cross and the University Women's Club (the latter of which she was charter member). Betty took great pride in entertaining family and friends and did it with sophistication and flair. She loved her Augusts at the family cottage on Lake Huron and travelling with her husband Doug. Betty was a longtime member of Trinity Church. She lived her faith. She will be remembered as an independent and generous soul, with a caring and tender heart. Betty was blessed with many dear and lifelong friends. Barb, Joey and Jim would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all those who loved and watched out for her. Cremation has taken place.
