  JOHN SALM John Salm, Sr., 63 Norman Street, Waterloo, died yesterday at his home after a lingering illness. He was in his 80th year. Born in Germany he came to this country when nine months old and had lived in Waterloo for the past 45 years. He attended St. Louis R.C. Church and was a member of the Holy Name Society and the Catholic Mutual Benefit Association. He was predeceased by his wife seven years ago. He is survived by two sons, one daughter, nine grandchildren and two great-grand- children. The remains will rest at the Walsh Funeral Home until 6 o'clock tonight. The funeral will be held Friday morning from the residence st 8:45 am. to the St. Louis Church at 9 o'clock. Interment will be in Waterloo Mount Hope Cemetery.
