  Former Citizen Passed Away WELL KNOWN IN THIS CITY The death occurred in Toronto yesterday of Mr. George Roy Aldred, a former resident of this city. The cause of death was an affliction of pneumonia, previous to which the deceased had enjoyed the best of health. Mr. Aldred was a native of England, having been born in Great Yarmouth. When a young lad he came to this city. He received his education in the public and high schools. Nearly thirty years ago he went to Toronto where he joined the C.P.R. staff. He was connected with the company at Toronto ever since, and of late he was with the General Superintendent in that city. The deceased was about fifty years of age. He was married to a daughter of the late Rev. Sherk, pastor of the United Brethern Church of this city. She, with a ten-year-old Fon, survive him. Mr. Aldred was of the Presbyterian faith. The funeral will be held at 3.30 'clock Wednesday afternoon at the residence, 361 Perth Ave., Toronto. Interment will take place in Prospect Cemetery. The News Record Tue, Nov 07, 1916 Page 2
