Notes |
- Rev. Christian Sherk, "was born September 1st, 1839. He joined the church of his choice, the United Brethren, when a young man and entered the ministry in which calling he has proved himself an able worker in the cause of His Master. The conference has stationed him on different fields of labor and on every field he, by the help of God, has proved himself an able minister. He is well received by his co-laborers and since the division of the church he has been appointed presiding elder (representing the Radical party) for Kansas. At present he resides at Sharon, Kansas, where he is also the owner of a beautiful farm. He is married to Margaret Hodge and has a family of two children, namely: Mina and Uretta."
