      Death of William Sherk

      Highly Esteemed Citizen Passes Away After a Short Illness

      The death of Mr. William Sherk, for some years bookkeeper at C. Braun's marble works, and a highly respected citizen, took place at the B. & W. Hospital on Monday afternoon at three o'clock, after suffering from an attack of apoplexy for three days.

      The deceased was born in Waterloo Township nearly 61 years ago, and has resided in Waterloo County almost his entire life-time. He was industrious and intelligent, and took a keen interest in the questions of the day, both municipal and political. He was twice married, his second wife having predeceased him about two years ago. He is survived by three children, two of whom reside in the States, and one, a ten-year-old daughter, lives with her aunt, Mrs. Geo. Pequegnat. The deceased was a member of Trinity Methodist Church.
