    • Fred Bish

Fred, son of Mr. William Bish, of Waterloo, had an accident on Heplop's farm near Strassburg. The young man wanted to ride on a hay-wagon from one field to another, but fell underneath it, when the machine struck a post. He was kicked in the abdomen by a horse and was so severely injured that he died on Sunday.

      _______________

      SAD DEATH OF FRED BISH.

It becomes out sad duty to chroni cle the death of Frederick A. Bish, third son of Mr. and Mrs. W. Bish, Waterloo, who died at the home of Mr. Robert Hislop, near Strasburg, at 11.45 Sunday morning. Death was due to a kick received from a horse shortly after dinner on Saturday. Fred was employed on Hislop's farm, all summer and on Saturday afternoon was working with a hay rake to which two spirited horses were hitched. While turning too quickly at the end of the field, he drove against the fence and was thrown off the rale. One of the horses kicked him in his left side just below the ribs. Dr. Rice of New Dundee was summoned, and dressed the wounds, but despite all medical aid death relieved him of his sufferings at 11.45 on Sunday. He was conscious to the end. Deceased was aged 20 years and 6 months. The funeral will take place from his father's residence corner Foundry St. and Park Aves., Waterloo, on Thursday, Aug., 13th, to Mount Hope Cemetery. In the runaway one of the horses was considerably hurt.
