• Notes

  JOHN HEMMERLY There passed away on Wednesday evening. John Hemmerly, at the home of Mrs. Fischer at Kitchener where he has made his home for the past few years. Deceased was in his 59th year and had been in ill health for the past three weeks and his death was not unexpected. For many years he was superintendent of the Jack Cannek Cigar Company at Waterloo and was well and favorably known in the Twin-City. There survive to mourn his loss two sons and two daughters, Charles of Elmira, Joseph of Waterloo, Mrs. George L. Snyder and Mrs. Norman Disney of Waterloo. Also three sisters, Mrs. Carl Piellusch, Mrs. Lewis Kries of New York and Mrs., Conrad Knell of Rochester, N.Y. His wife predeceased him 11 years ago. The funeral, private, took place from the late residence at Kitchener on Friday afternoon. After a short service at the house interment was made in Mount Hope cemetery.
