• Notes

  Herbert D. Mewhiney, 70, of Conestogo, died in his sleep Monday night, Oct. 14. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Mewhiney, he was born March 23, 1890. In April, 1950, he married the former Mrs. Su- sanna Martin. He was a member of Chalm- ers Presbyterian Church, Winterbourne. Surviving are his wife; a stepson, James David of Elmira; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Douglas (Esther) Waugh, Mrs. Ross (Annabelle) Waugh, Mrs. Georga (Lena) Belbeck, all of Kitchener and Mrs. Anthony (Bertha) Plein of Elmira; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Flanklin of Moorefield and Mrs. Hugh Cunningham of Elmira. The body is at the Dreisinger Funeral Parlor, Elmira, where the funeral will be conducted in the chapel Friday at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Elmira Cemetery. Rev.
