- DOTZERT, Clayton - At K-W Hospital, on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 1988, of Beechwood Manor, aged 92 years. Mr. Dotzert was born in Waterloo and was a son of the late Mary and Valentine Dotzert. He was a member of Mount Zion Lutheran Church. Mr. Dotzert was postmaster for the City of Waterloo for 25 years, was an alderman in the town of Waterloo, founded the Waterloo Siskins Hockey Team in 1934 and in the late 19505 was instrumental in having 3000 maple trees planted throughout the City of Waterloo. He served as a pilot in France during the First World War with the Royal Flying Corp., was a member of Wing 404 RCAF, was an honorary member of both the K-W Naval Association and the Royal Canadian Legion, Waterloo Branch 530 and was the former commanding officer of the K-W 80th Air Cadet Squadron. Beloved husband of the late Lulu Dierlam, who predeceased him in June of 1986. Dear father of Robert and his wife Nel, Don and Mary Jane and her husband Ron Darling, all of Waterloo. He is also fondly remembered by six grandchildren, Carol, Debi, David, Diane, Christine and Kathryn and eight great-grandchildren, Karen, Dan, Sue, Eve, Aaron, Caleb, Corry and Mary. He was predeceased by two brothers and five sisters. Mr. Dotzert's family will receive friends at. the Edward R. Good Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today (Wednesday) and Thursday. At noon on Friday, transfer will be made to Mount Zion Lutheran Church for the funeral service at 2 p.m., with Rev. Norman Lange officiating. Inter-ment to follow in Parkview cemetery, Waterloo. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy. A joint service, conducted by the Royal Canadian Legion, Waterloo Branch, 530, the Royal Canadian Air Force, Wing 404 and the K-W Naval Association will be held at the funer-al home Thursday at 7: 30 p.m. 411
