- PASSING OF J. E. TUCKER
Well Known Citizen passed away at B. & W. Hospital on Sunday.
A well known and highly respected citizen passed away at the Berlin and Waterloo Hospital on Sunday afternoon at six o'clock in the person of John E. Tucker, death being due to stomach trouble.
Deceased had been ailing for some time and his demise was not entirely unexpected. The late Mr. Tucker was born in Somerset, England, on August 9, 1844, and with his family left the old country twelve years ago to reside in this town. He was in his 68th year and is survived by eight grown-up children, six sons and two daughters. are Sydney, Harvey, Walter, Mrs. George Henning and Mrs. Fred Heltz of Waterloo, Fred of Philadelphia, Herbert of Rochester and Ernie of Berlin.
The funeral was held Wednesday afternoon on Wed- 2.30 o'clock from his late residence on Menno street, to St. Saviour's Church where services were held, thence to Mt. Hope cemetery for interment.
