    • DEATH OF MRS. C. GERBIG, SR

      One of Berlin's oldest residents, Mrs. C. Gerbig, sr., passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. A. Trump, on Sunday. Nov. 7th.

      She suffered from Bright's disease, and has been ill for some time.

      The funeral took place on Wednesday at two o'clock to St. Paul's Lutheran Church and Mount Hope cemetery.

      The deceased was born in Senchbach, Germany, nearly 83 years ago, and came to Canada in 1851 and for 58 years has been a resident of Berlin. She was twice married, her second husband the late C. Gerbig, sr., having died five years ago. He was a constable in Berlin for 32 years. There are seven surviving children, Mrs. Henry Bauer of Acton, Mrs. K. Spreen, Cincinnati, Ohio, Adam Seip, Baden, Conrad and Julius Gerbig, of Berlin, Mrs. John Hoffman and Miss S. Gerbig of Buffalo and Mr August Trump of Berlin
