    • James Recchia, 43, of 261 Sherwood Ave., died Friday at the John Hopkins Memorial Hospital, Baltimore, Md., after a brief illness. Death was caused by congestion of the lungs.

      Born July 12, 1915, in Toronto, he was a son of George and Adele Recchia of Toronto, who survive. A member of St. Mary's RC Church, he was also a Knight of Columbus. Mr. Recchia served in the RCAF for, five years in the Second World War. He was a member of the Canadian Legion. Kitchener branch.

      His wife the former Catherine Longo, survives.

      Other survivors are two sons, Joseph and Leo, at home; four brothers, Daniel, Bert and Clare. all of Kitchener, and Gustave of Toronto.
      Also five sisters, Mrs. Fred (Gloria) Marks of Kitchener, Mrs. Jack (Joey) Rosefield of Hamilton and Mrs Peter (Angela) Aveto, Mrs. Eugene (Nellie) Scofano and Mrs. Joseph (Lucy) Gat to, all of Toronto. He was predeceased by one son, Leo A brother, Edward, was killed in action in the Second World War.

      The body will be at the Schreiter Sandrock Funeral Home Sunday at noon. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home Monday at 8 pm. The Knights of Col umbus will also recite the rosary Monday at 8:30 pm.

      The body is at the funeral home until Tuesday at 9.30 am when removal will be made to St. Mary's Church for requiem high mass at 10 am. Burial will be In Woodland Cemetery.
