  PURDON, Alma Lorraine 'Lorrie' (nee Atkinson) - Passed away, on Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at Freeport Health Centre of Grand River Hospital, at the age of 83. Beloved wife of the late John Purdon (1985). Dear mother of Doug Purdon (Cheryl) of Ayr, Janice Futher (Nyle) of Elmira and Shelley Hallberg (Tor) of Formosa. Grandmother of Jay Purdon (Brandi), Shawn Futher (Toni), Kevin Futher (Melanie) and Britta and Jemica Hallberg. Great-grandmother of Carter and Hannah Purdon and Brandon and Kayleigh Futher. Also survived by her brother, Eldon Atkinson (Alein) of Chatsworth and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister, Muriel (1974); and granddaughter, Holly Purdon (1994). A special thank you to the Tate and Omand families for many years of friendship and caring. A funeral service for Lorrie will be held in the chapel of the Henry Walser Funeral Home , 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Saturday, October 17, 2009 (today) at 7 p.m. followed by a reception. A private interment will take place in Woodland Cemetery.
